I was searching for the perfect shorts for my nobo attempt on the PCT, and these checked all of the boxes! I love the length, the fact they are unlined but still have sturdy and comfy fabric, have great pockets, and the Tahoma details make me feel a little closer to home! I typically wear size 4-6 bottoms, and the xs are a perfect fit! PCT approved!

Hands down my favorite hiking shorts! I loved them so much I even wore them for teaching PE. They’re comfortable, the length is perfect, and the fun details like “ITMO?” and the latitude/longitude make them unique. I got an extra small and they fit me perfectly. I’m very happy with this item and hope there’s another color soon so I can get more!

Took the shorts on its inaugural hike for 9 miles. I don't usually wear 5" length shorts, but these are the exception. They feel great against the skin, have a comfortable stretch that moves with you, with fantastic details and branding, all wrapped in a PNW color. My favorite part is the small zippered pocket. It's perfect for the two items I always carry with me on hikes - earbuds and keys. I can see wearing these for chilling and lounging indoors during PNW winters. It's an awesome product from an awesome local company! They'll get tons of mileage.

Full disclosure: I’m David, the founder of Rainier Watch, and these are the shorts I’ve been living in lately. Whether I’m heading out for a 5+ mile run, putting in trail miles, or just hanging out on the couch, these Athletic 5 Inch Recycled Shorts seriously deliver.

When we set out to make these, I wanted a pair of shorts that could handle the rigors of adventure, without sacrificing comfort or style. I pulled inspiration from some of my favorite running and hiking gear, but gave it the RW treatment: recycled materials, no inner liner, a just-right 5 inch inseam, and pockets that actually do something.

It took months of testing, tweaking, and running around the warehouse (literally) to get these dialed in. I’ve run in them, hiked in them, lifted in them, lounged in them, and every time, they’ve held up and felt great. Lightweight and breathable, but with a solid fit that stays put thanks to the elastic waistband and drawstring.

Little details like the embroidered “Adventure Begins” on the side and that rear zipper pocket (perfect for keys or a card) make them feel dialed in for real use.

Bottom line? These aren’t some off-the-shelf blanks with our logo slapped on. We custom built these from scratch for RW folks who move, explore, and chill hard. I hope you love them as much as I do. Can’t wait to hear where you wear yours!

Is The Mountain Out?

Bought one pair on a whim after searching for non-lined athletic shorts with a back pocket and zipper hidden side pocket, those last two are a hard combo to find. Quality, fit and style blew my expectations away so I bought the two other colors! Only addition I'd like to see is a second back pocket, but otherwise these are a 10/10.

We may be lacking mountains in NOLA but they're always out when I'm rocking these.

I love a good pair of shorts and these are one of the best I own. They fit very well, are great for any activity, and look really good. Other companies sell this quality for double the price. I now own two pairs of these shorts and will buy more if more colors come out. 10/10

These are the best athletic shorts I have bought in my entire life. Like, they are “I just got a pair in the mail and I’m immediately going to buy another pair” good. They are “lululemon who?”levels of good.

Well made, quality material, great fit. The details bring a delightful amount of whimsy and joy. I ordered a size up for a classic baggy fit, as opposed to the slimmer fit that true-to-size would give.

Absolutely love these shorts. They quickly became a main staple in all aspects of life: lounging around the house, camping and hiking trips, Mariners games, paddleboarding and more. Loved these so much I bought a second pair and a pair of the Charcoal and Forest Green shorts.

Super comfortable! Perfect for day to day at home and going on runs. Pocket placement is great and it keeps my phone in place when running instead of flopping around

I am a size 6 and got a small. Read some reviews to determine what size to go with.

Dimensions are spot on, and I would say they fit true to size. The material is flexible and breathable, and the overall fit is perfect for a shorter inseam shirt with a looser leg opening. 5/5 stars.

These shorts are so damn comfy! Absolutely love them. Right now, I have just been wearing them around the house and to the gym. Looking forward to the warm weather returning, but I will need to order another pair or two. Definitely taking the place of lulus and vuoris in my wardrobe.

I love these shorts!! They’re so soft and comfortable. Everything I’ve ever ordered from RW has been so comfy. When I first opened the package I thought they were going to be too long but once I tried them on they actually fit quite nicely.
I ordered a medium — I typically were a size 6 womens/ 5’3” 136 for reference.

Great quality! Im 5’9” 165 and i ordered a size M. They for true to size and have a decent amount of give and flexibility. They are super comfortable as well!

So comfortable and love the cut!! I wear a women’s medium in shorts/pants and got these in a small. They fit great! Can’t wait for it to warm up so I can wear them more!

Hands down the best shorts I’ve ever owned. The logo and coordinated embroidered goes to show how much they care about the quality of the product put out at RW. Small zipper pocket next to the right pocket is perfect for my keys when I’m hiking, love em, need more.
