  • Custom North + Pendleton woven labels
  • Pure virgin wool/cotton fabric woven in Oregon, USA

The variety of Forest Green tones woven into the blanket define the geologic features of the mountain. The lightest shades represent the current glaciers and perennial snow fields, while the darker tones show the glacial deposits and various types of volcanic rock that makes up Washington's highest peak. The detailed topographic lines of Mt. Rainier are woven into the blanket every 200ft of elevation.

We designed our blanket to work with Pendleton's jacquard weaving process. The wool is sourced from the highest quality sheep and is processed, dyed, and finished from end to end by Pendleton in the Pacific Northwest.

The Mt. Hood Blanket for process reference.

Each blanket we sell gives back to the region we're celebrating. In our ongoing partnership with 1% For The Planet, every Rainier blanket gives back to the Washington National Park Fund.

Their mission is to preserve and protect Washington’s cherished national parks. Every glass gives back to help fund scientific research, youth and family experiences, and projects that will keep our parks strong and vital now and forever, for everyone. human impacts threatening Utah’s sensitive ecosystem.

The Rainier Watch Story 🏔️

Hi! 👋🏻 I'm David, the founder of Rainier Watch. The RW brand all started with a community movement to answer the most important question in the PNW "Is The Mountain out?".

And out of that movement, the RW Shop was born as a way to give back and support "The Mountain" aka Tahoma (Mount Rainier). Since launching the RW Shop, we've been able to donate $20,000+ to various causes like protecting our National Parks!

Thanks for your support! ❤️
